Natures Honey BeeThe honey bees are one of, if not, the best industrious insects of nature. She (the honey bee) produces honey from nectar and pollen of plants they pollinate. The produced honey is then stored in perfectly made hexagon honeycombs in the bees hive. In the wild, these hives can be found in the crevice of trees; in remote parts of a house; and, sometimes in old tires by the roadside. Honey bees are natural and active pollinators; they produce honey to feed their young in the rainy season. And, is the only known community insect that has colonies which can survive for years. If you are allergic to insects and are stung by a honey bee seek medical attention immediately. If you see a hive or have one in need of removal call us ( 868-274-9326) immediately. We charge a very small fee for removal. However, honey bee management should be addressed by professionals only! Since the colony can be much larger than is seen at the top, only experienced beekeepers can safely remove them. When bees sense that they are under imminent danger they will release a pheromone that alarms the whole hive. Thus, they (the whole colony) will defend themselves against all intruders. This can become very dangerous fast! So, don’t approach where she has taken residence and remain calm around bees. That’s the buzz for this month. Ask the Pest Professor: Can Bees Smell Fear?
